Out and About in Toronto: t-buds Afternoon Tea

12267301_MjXUZPH6ozb4bU4IrPhhg-n3xtTJvr7XtfcFIFucQysI love, love, love tea. Everyone in our family knows that nothing returns Mummy to sanity faster than a cup of tea. I also love the luxury of an afternoon tea ritual. When my girl and I go out for one of our mother daughter dates, we always try to include a stop for tea time.

Today in honour of #AfternoonTeaWeek on twitter, I took my daughter to a new place (for us), t-buds. It’s right down the street from us in Lawrence Park at 3343 Yonge.

I’ve driven by a million times but never went in before. It was a very cozy room upstairs with comfy armchairs for everyone. The server was busy but friendly. We shared the full afternoon tea with a quiche, lots of little tea sandwiches, fresh fruit, macaroons, cake, and scones with cream and jam. It was just the right amount of food to split. We also shared a pot of the lovely mango lemon herbal tea. We had a lovely time just chatting and laughing and it was a perfect way to spend the day. Thanks very much t-buds!

t-buds: 3343 Yonge Street, afternoon tea is served between noon and 5.30pm daily.
