Pantone Colour of the Year 2017: Greenery

On this snowy day of new beginnings, I thought it would be the perfect time to write about the glorious Pantone colour of the year 2017: Greenery. It isn’t apple green or lime green, or bright green. It’s green with a touch of liveliness. Whatever it is, I love it and it’s showing up everywhere.
“Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew,” says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. ” A constant on the periphery, Greenery is now being pulled to the forefront – it is an omnipresent hue around the world. We know what kind of world we are living in: one that is very stressful and very tense. This is the color of hopefulness, and of our connection to nature.” Here are some inspirational ways to bring touches of greenery to your home”

"Greenery is nature’s neutral. The more submerged people are in modern life, the greater their innate craving to immerse themselves in the physical beauty and inherent unity of the natural world."
" This shift is reflected by the proliferation of all things expressive of Greenery in daily lives through urban planning, architecture, lifestyle and design choices globally."
