Toronto’s Best Public Schools

Like last year, the return to school is filled with stress this fall thanks this year to the Delta variant. My little one misses his friends so much I don’t feel like online is the path for us but I’m definitely worried about him going back. Becasue of Covid and the cancellation of province wide testing, the Fraser Institute’s ranking of the top public English speaking elementary schools in Toronto did not happen last year but here is the complete list of the top 10 public elementary schools in Toronto as ranked by The Fraser Institute in 2019. Click here to see a larger version of the map. They rank Ontario schools using objective, publicly available data such as average scores on province-wide tests. If you don’t see your kids school on here, it doesn’t mean it’s not good. We have a wonderful education system citywide, with fabulous caring teachers. Click here to see the full report. Let me know if you’d like to see the high school stats too!

I have had many clients ask which public schools in Toronto are the best. From a strictly biased point of view, I’d say my kid’s school, Blythwood, is amazing. Shout out to my son’s teacher Ms. Evelyn and Principal Farrell and all the staff who worked so hard to keep kids safe last year.
