Romantic (Un)Valentine’s Day Restaurants

auberge du pommierSo every year my husband and I let Valentine’s day creep up and blast by us. This year with the busy real estate market is no different. We always try to book a last minute restaurant somewhere romantic, and usually, we end up celebrating on the 16th. If, like us, you love to try romantic restaurants that are special all year round, here are some out and around the Lawrence Park neighbourhood. Call them up, know they are very likely fully booked for the big day, make your reservation for a couple of days later when it’s not so busy, when the wait staff have time to breathe and the roses are all on sale. Sharing a bottle of champagne at home on the actual night can’t be overrated.

Romantic Lawrence Park Neighbourhood Restaurants

Auberge du Pommier, 4150 Yonge St.
Tucked away under the Yonge Corporate Centre , it has an amazing menu with wood burning fireplaces and crème brûlée to die for.

North 44, 2537 Yonge St
Cozy and intimate with great mood lighting, good service and delicious food.

Celestin, 623 Mt Pleasant Road
More casual but still pleasant and a romantic french menu and decor.

Honourable mention:
Estates of Sunnybrook, 2075 Bayview Avenue
You may have been here for a wedding or business function but every once in a while they open it up for a special occasion like dinner and dancing on Valentine’s Day. If you don’t have reservations by now you can’t just go next week but try hard to get it together for this one next year. It’s really lovely.
